Children's TV - Mr Men and Little Misses - Little Miss Sunshine #3

Little Miss Sunshine

There was a King who lived in a castle in Miseryland. Little Miss Sunshine is on holiday. She saw a sign saying “This way to Miseryland.” So she was on her way to Miseryland. She saw a Guard at the Bridge Door. Little Miss Sunshine gave the Guard a Big Smile. Then the Guard took her to see the King of Miseryland and she had an idea. So Little Miss Sunshine and the king went back to her car. Finally she made a new picket sign saying “Laughter Land” and she boomed an enormous laugh then the king laughed too.

Little Miss Sunshine is one of the happiest people in the world, besides Mr. Happy and Mr. Cheerful. Little Miss Sunshine is a regular in the 2008 version of The Mr. Men Show. She keeps her looks and personality, and runs a morning show called “Good Morning Dillydale” with her partner, Mr. Happy. Her voice is very perky, almost to the point of ditzyness. Her house is pink, with a flowerbed, and flowers on the house as well.

  1. Ooo I loved my Mr Men books. My favourite characters were Mr Happy and Mr Strong. The Little Miss books were a bit later, but I did have the Little Miss Sunshine book. Like your write up above, how she 'keeps her looks'. Heehee. Your post, as ever, brought some sunshine to my day!

  3. Even an old dinasaur like me remembers Mr Men books I used to read to my son. More Mr Happies are just what this awful world needs right now. Hugs ~ Eddie (I suppose you might call me a Mr Happy LOL)

  6. AhhhI love Mr Happy! I agree with Eddy above, we all need more Mr Happys these days. Hope you are having good weather at all the festivals you're attending and Froggy has no need for welly boots.

  8. WoW! Mr. Men rule, There is something so sooothing about those stories that take you back to a safe time in your life, that and Arthur Lowes' voice. I still can't get over Arthur Lowe died in 1982!! and yet somehow he lives on eternally through Mr. Men and Dad's Army.

  12. @Meeling - Always good to get a bit of a nostalgia hit I think. :-)

@Diplo_Daddy - That's a shame. Yes, they were created by Roger Hargreaves 40 years ago in 1971.

Thanks for choosing to leave me a comment and let me know how you feel about my post. It is always very exciting to get a comment. Unless it is spam. Spam is pretty insulting to a vegetarian (unless it is part of a Monty Python sketch) so please desist. Cheers.
